The continuation of the dog breeds we talked about in our previous post has arrived. We talk about 15 more dog breeds in this blog..

1-Basenji

The Basenji is a medium-sized, graceful and muscular African dog breed. It has a medium-sized head, small triangular ears, and a curved tail. Their eyes are almond shaped and have a deep gaze. Their short, glossy hair is usually chocolate, black, red or bronze. Some individuals may have white patches on their breasts.

Basenjis are recognized as an independent dog breed and are highly intelligent, curious and energetic. 2-Basset Hound

The Basset Hound is a hound breed dog known for its strong olfactory abilities. They are medium-sized, short-legged, drooping-eared, and have a very sensitive nose. Their weight usually varies between 20-30 kilograms and their height at the withers is between 30-38 cm.

The Bedlington Terrier is only 41-46 cm high and weighs 8-10 kg. He has a slender build, an attractive face and curly hair. Their color is usually dark gray or blue gray, but sometimes light gray or yellowish brown can also be seen.

At the same time, suitable for an active lifestyle, these dogs require exercise and mental stimulation. With good socialization and training, they can make great pets.

6-Bernese Mountain Dog

The Bernese Mountain Dog (Bern Sennenhund) is a large and powerful dog breed. It is named “Bernese” because it comes from the Swiss city of Bern. These dogs have been used in agricultural work in Switzerland throughout history.

Characteristics of the Bernese Mountain Dog include a thick, double coat of fur, a large body build and a black mask on the face. These dogs are specifically designed to adapt to cold weather conditions.

8-Bloodhound

The Bloodhound is a large, strong and long-nosed hound breed. The most distinctive feature of these dogs, which originated in England, is their keen sense of smell. For this reason, they are often used in hunting and are also used in search and rescue operations.

Bloodhounds’ large, curved ears help them hold their noses closer to the ground so they can pick up scents better. Also, thanks to their large noses, they can detect more scent molecules by taking in more air than other dog breeds.

In character, Bloodhounds are generally affectionate, friendly and patient dogs. They are not easy to train and owners need to be patient. Also, Bloodhounds can be a bit stubborn so their training requires patience and consistency.

9-Border collie

The Border Collie is a sheepdog originating from Scotland. Its name refers to the border area (Border) from which it originated and the dog breed named Collie. A medium-sized dog, the Border Collie weighs an average of 18-22 kg and has a height of 48-56 cm. They can usually be in various colors such as black and white, brown and white, tri-color, blue and white.

The Border Collie is a highly intelligent and energetic dog breed. It has been bred for jobs such as shepherding, herd management and herding. With a high level of intelligence, loyalty and ability to learn, he often takes part in various sports and competitions. It is also an ideal choice for brain teasers and educational activities.

10-Border terrier

11-Borzoi

12-Boston Terrier

13-Boxer

14-Boykin Spaniel

The Boykin Spaniel is a dog bred as a hunting dog in South Carolina, USA. It weighs an average of 15-18 kilograms, and its average height is 40-46 cm. Its body is medium in size, muscular and compact. Their ears hang low and their eyes are brown.

The Boykin Spaniel was bred specifically for hunting in water and has strong swimming skills. It can also be used in boats used by hunters while hunting. A good-natured and loyal dog, the Boykin Spaniel is also considered a good pet in family life. He also needs regular exercise and activities as he is an energetic dog.

15-Briard

The Briard is a medium-sized dog with origins in France. Briard, which was used as a shepherd dog in the middle ages, was later used as a war dog and hunting dog. The Briard is known for its solid build, thick coat and loyal, brave and intelligent character.
