FOMO: FOMO is short for “fear of missing out”. Social media platforms are full of constantly updated content, so people worry that they are missing out on social or fun activities. This increases the need to constantly check social media platforms.

Decreased work or school performance: Social media addiction can cause a loss of concentration while working or learning, which can negatively affect work or school performance.
